Ep. 66: Genres From The Netherworld

Episode Summary

In this episode, we dive deep into genres that can’t possibly be real; right? Humans love to organize and put things in categories. Music is no different. When someone asks about a band or song they ask, "...what does it sound like?" You can either give them a generic term (rock, punk, metal), refer to another band or artist, or provide them with an oddly specific categorization like psychedelic operatic speed ska… Or something like that!

Episode Notes

What’s this InObscuria thing? We’re a podcast that exhumes obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal and puts them in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. This episode deals more with the Lost… Genres and sub-genres that are truly unique and oddly specific. We hope we turn you on to something new!
